Dr. Ravi Chavan is the esteemed Dean of Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH) in Nagpur. Prior to his appointment as Dean, he served as the Professor and Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at IGGMCH. Dr. Chavan completed his MBBS and MS in Ophthalmology, demonstrating a profound commitment to medical education and patient care. His leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic was particularly noteworthy, earning him the Highest Corona Warrior Honor by the International COMHAD and CHPA UK NGO in 2020.
