Dr. Partha Pratim Majumder is a preeminent figure in the field of human genetics and genomics. He is the founder of the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) in Kalyani, near Kolkata, India, and serves as a Distinguished Professor at the John C. Martin Centre for Liver Research and Innovation. Dr. Majumder's academic credentials include a BStat (Hons), MStat, and PhD from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, followed by post-doctoral work at the University of Texas Health Science Centre, Houston. His research has been instrumental in advancing the understanding of human population genetics and the genomics of complex diseases.
